How one sentence became a company

When we founded gurado in 2013, one sentence came before everything else: gift cards for better businesses. Back then, we mostly had service businesses in mind – businesses that wanted to sell gift cards in their own online shop and redeem them right at the counter, without anyone having to check lists afterwards.

Today, more than 1,000 businesses work with us, and the list is more varied than I imagined back then: retailers and multi-location businesses, hotels and restaurants, theme parks, merchant associations and even state lottery companies. Along the way came discounts, loyalty programs and tickets, plus ready-made integrations with the POS and shop systems our customers already use.
