Flowers, plants and garden centers in four German states
Blumen Risse is one of Germany's largest flower and plant retailers. The family business from Schwerte runs more than 130 locations with flower shops, flower markets and garden centers in North Rhine-Westphalia, Lower Saxony, Hesse and Rhineland-Palatinate. Its own online shop rounds off the range.
One gift card system for shop and stores
The goal was to sell gift cards online and in every single store, without losing a single gift card that had already been sold. Old gift cards stay redeemable and can be exchanged for new ones, and every gift card with a remaining balance was moved into the system.
Project start in 2015
Sales online and in stores, an import of all previously sold gift cards with a remaining balance, and a purpose-built feature that exchanges old gift cards for new ones.
The first four years
In store, gift cards were redeemed with the gurado Android app.
New POS infrastructure
After the POS update, gurado built an integration with TCPOS. Since then, gift cards have been sold and redeemed in real time in every store.
