Which gift card and ticket types can I sell with gurado?

Whatever you sell, we have the right gift card or ticket type for you! gurado works with more than 1,000 businesses across many industries, so we know how different their needs can be. That's why gurado doesn't just do simple gift cards – you can choose from a wide range of gift card and ticket types.

You can also run discount campaigns with coupons and discount codes, and manage capacity for your courses or events by number of people, age or date, for example. Here's an overview of all the gift card and ticket types you can create in gurado:

Gift cards

The most flexible way to sell gift cards. Gift cards hold a monetary value and aren't tied to a specific service. Your customers choose an amount, and the recipient can choose freely from your range.

You can sell gift cards from the gurado Starter plan up. Let customers choose any amount between a minimum and maximum you set. Partial redemption is possible.

Your options for selling gift cards online with gurado:

  • Set a fixed gift card value
  • Set a value range (from … to …)
  • Show or hide the value on the gift card
  • Adjust the expiry date
  • Allow partial redemption

Promotional vouchers

Promotional vouchers are tied to a specific service and are ideal for wellness, tourism or outdoor businesses. They're designed especially for offers and packages: with gurado you can sell packages at a fixed price, for example massages or hotel stays. We also have many customers in lifestyle and retail who use this voucher type. Take a look at our customer stories.

Sell your products or services at a fixed price. This voucher can only be redeemed in full, in a single transaction.

Your options for selling promotional vouchers with gurado:

  • Set a fixed gift card value
  • Set a redemption period (from … to …)
  • Show or hide the value on the voucher
  • Capacity management

Tickets and admission passes

Unlike gift cards, tickets can only be used at a specific time and are usually limited in number. They're an important tool for cultural venues and event organizers. Tickets are redeemed online or offline with a single click, and capacity management can be switched on if needed.

gurado also works perfectly as an online ticketing system: the gift card and ticket module makes it easy to sell all kinds of tickets and admission passes.

Your options for selling tickets with gurado:

  • Set a fixed ticket value
  • Set a redemption period (from date … to date …)
  • Show or hide the value on the ticket
  • Capacity management

Besides single-use tickets, you can also sell season passes or multi-use tickets.

Season passes

A season pass can be used without limit during a period you define yourself. Good examples are season passes for museums, outdoor pools, courses or the zoo.

Your options for selling season passes with gurado:

  • Set a season pass price
  • Set a period of use (from … to …)
  • Show or hide the value on the season pass

Multi-use tickets

A multi-use ticket can be redeemed several times once activated – for example a ten-visit card for a gym or yoga course, or 10 massages for the price of 9. You choose how often it can be used.

Your options for selling multi-use tickets with gurado:

  • Set a multi-use ticket price
  • Set how many times the ticket can be redeemed
  • Show or hide the value on the multi-use ticket

Recurring tickets

A recurring ticket is for regular dates or events, such as a course or seminar you run on a repeating schedule.

You can set up daily, weekly or irregular recurring events and make it easy for customers to book online.

Time-limited tickets

A time-limited ticket works well as a weekly or monthly pass. It's valid for a number of days you choose, starting either on the date of purchase or on first use – you can set this start point automatically in ticket management.

You have the following options for selling your time-limited tickets:

  • Set a fixed ticket price
  • Set when it starts (on the day of sale or on first use)
  • Set the validity period
  • Show or hide the value on the time-limited ticket

The most flexible gift card type: self-activator gift cards

It's best to start your self-activator campaign as early as possible. You can find out exactly what a self-activator gift card is in our blog article. In short, a self-activator is a blank gift card you hand out to customers, which they can then activate at home in your online gift card shop.

The idea is to be top of mind when they go looking for a present – and last-minute shoppers will thank you for it.
