When you set up coupons in gurado, you have several flexible ways to issue discount codes. With the gurado couponing module you can also set your own redemption rules for your coupon campaigns. Find out more here.
Set up your coupon campaigns flexibly:
Coupon codes can be issued either as an individual code (unique for each customer) that you give directly to your customers, or as a shared code – for example as a marketing campaign on Facebook.
- With the “pre-loaded” option you generate a certain number of coupon codes with a fixed value, such as €5 off.
- The “rechargeable via (web) app” option creates offline codes that you can assign to a product in person, much like gift cards. You choose how many codes are generated and can add a prefix unique to your campaign.
- The “promo code” option is a fixed discount code your customers can use for a set period.

Offline codes, email codes or checkout codes?
With the gurado coupon module, you decide which channels your coupon codes are issued through: either “offline” only (option 1), or sent to the customer by email via the gurado WebApp as a kind of “PDF gift card” (option 2). A discount code can also be redeemed in your online shop's cart (see the additional option).
Option 1: e.g. paper coupons, coupon QR codes and more
If you want to give customers coupons they can redeem in your store, create “offline” serial codes in the couponing module and export them as an Excel list or a PDF (QR codes) to print as labels.
Option 2: digital coupons in the couponing app, email coupons and more
For email coupons, you send the codes straight to customers via the gurado WebApp with the couponing module – for example, a coupon for their next purchase as a small thank-you for their visit. Goodwill vouchers – e.g. to make up for a bad experience – can also be issued as a one-off coupon via the WebApp.
Another option: offer & redeem discount coupons in the gift card shop.
To offer discount codes for products in your gift card & ticket shop, create a new basket price rule in the “Marketing” menu. It can be a fixed discount, a percentage discount or a bonus-value coupon along the lines of “pay €Z – get €Y”.
Redemption rules for coupons
With gurado you can set your own redemption rules for coupon campaigns. For more complex conditions, you can fine-tune them with “validation parameters”.
You decide how your coupons can be redeemed: only at certain times, on certain days or for a specific product? Or boost local sales by making a coupon valid only in a specific store, city or region.
You can find out how to use validation parameters HERE.
