App terms of use
Terms of use for the “gurado – Gutscheine verkaufen” app for iOS and Android
Last updated: November 2026
1. Provider and scope
The app is provided by gurado GmbH, Wittbräucker Straße 32, 44287 Dortmund, Germany, phone +49 231 4420510, email support@gurado.de. You'll find further details in our legal notice.
These terms of use apply to the use of the app. The gurado gift card system itself is also governed by the contracts agreed with the customer and by the terms and conditions of gurado GmbH. If they conflict, those take precedence.
2. What the app does
gurado customers and their staff can use the app to scan gift card codes with the camera, check gift cards, top them up and redeem them.
The app is an add-on to the gurado account and doesn't replace it.
3. Requirements and access
You need a valid gurado account or login details issued by the customer. The app is intended only for businesses within the meaning of Section 14 of the German Civil Code (BGB) and their staff.
Login details must be kept secret. The customer is responsible for all transactions carried out with its logins.
4. License
gurado grants a simple, non-transferable and revocable right to use the app on your own devices within the rules of the relevant app store.
You may not decompile, modify or pass on the app unless mandatory law allows it.
5. Your obligations
Use the app only for your own, lawful gift card transactions. Check top-ups and redemptions for accuracy before you confirm them.
Misuse, attempts at manipulation and automated access are not allowed.
6. Availability and updates
gurado aims for high availability but doesn't guarantee uninterrupted access. The app needs an internet connection.
Updates may be required to keep using the app.
7. Costs
Downloading and using the app is free. Costs for the gurado gift card system depend on your contract.
8. Liability
gurado is liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, and under the German Product Liability Act.
For slight negligence, gurado is only liable for breaches of essential contractual obligations, limited to the foreseeable damage typical for this type of contract.
9. Data protection
You'll find information on how personal data is processed in the app privacy policy.
10. Notes on Apple and Google
These terms of use are concluded only between gurado and the user, not with Apple Inc. or Google LLC.
gurado alone is responsible for the app, its maintenance and support. This includes any claims relating to the app, such as product liability claims, consumer protection claims and claims that the app infringes third-party intellectual property rights.
Apple has no obligation whatsoever to provide maintenance, support or warranty for the app.
You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a US Government embargo and that you are not on any US Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms of use and may enforce them against you.
The terms of use of the relevant app store remain unaffected.
11. Changes and termination
gurado may change these terms of use with effect for the future. Material changes will be announced in the app or by email.
You can stop using the app at any time by deleting it. When the gurado contract ends, the right to use the app ends as well.
12. Final provisions
German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. The place of jurisdiction is Dortmund.
If any provision is invalid, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
